Volume 2, Episode 23 – Batman and the Wolverines f/Chad Bowers and Josh Krach December 5, 2011

Posted by Matt in : Episodes , trackback

It’s time for another roundtable comics discussion, this week with Chad Bowers of Monster Plus and Josh Krach of Troop Infinity! We continue to talk about the DC reboot with our picks for what new titles we’d like to see in the line (and, you know, write). Plus, we get into what Marvel’s recent turn of the axe on some not-even-published-yet books means for comics makers like us and get into the question of whether fans seeing sales numbers is bad for out-of-the-mainstream titles. Plus, we answer some quizzical listener mail!

Man, I’d read the hell out of “Batman & the Wolverines”.

Win Ben Stein’s money was the bomb. For a period, I watched no other shows besides that and Jeopardy. And while the questions were a little more America-centric (not in terms of current culture, but in terms of history, politics, science, everything) they were DAMN hard, often I thought even more difficult on average than Jeopardy (because there were far less questions per game, of course, but still). And yeah, Ben Stein himself was pretty damn sharp.

Genuinely surprised Chris didn’t order a custom plushy of himself.

Hell, if he could get Wild Dog Inc into print, I would buy a plushy of Chris Sims.
